History

The creation of WakeKite® is a story of innovation and pure belief in a concept that everyone involved knew (if we could pull it off) would blow people´s minds. The idea was to take some of the thrills and advantages of kite boarding, combine it with wakeboarding/water skiing, and get it all done in the more-controlled environment of "behind the boat." Visions of increased air, soft, reduced-gravity landings, greater safety, and ready-to-be-manufactured wind (flick of the boat throttle) danced in our heads. The richness of the concept helped us at WakeKite® (and most recently now HO Sports) to stay committed and combine our efforts to make WakeKite® a commercial reality.

Alongside such top brands as Hyperlite Wake Mfg., HO Sports Co Inc. and Accurate Lines, WakeKite® is now part of a very prestigious water sports family. And naturally, the best part about being a part of HO is we get the immense benefit and wisdom of an organization that has been around for many, many years - an organization that understands the true importance of treating the customer right, delivering quality and staying on the edge of the most exciting new products. Needless to say, these are all major goals here at WakeKite®.

From our early beginnings in August of 2003, we have followed a simple rule: Work hard, for as long as it takes, to produce a high-quality, durable and safely-engineered product. We wanted to do the new sport justice, and we wanted it to last. Nearly four years of intensive design, research, testing and business development took place before our first product was ready for launch - the WakeKite® Superfly 9.0.

The WakeKite® Superfly 9.0 represents the heart and soul of our company as it brings a new level of fun to millions of water sports enthusiasts. Whether you´re a wakeboarder, kiteboarder, windsurfer, waterskier, wakeskater, surfer or Mid-western folk singer, riding with a wakekite® is not something you´ll want to miss. Rest assured, we will be working hard to support this new product, keeping your wishes and feedback top-of-mind. And yet, our goal is to not only to bring out great, innovative product that will keep you stoked and dreaming of summer, we are also very excited to fuel a new community of riders, without which, there´d be no WakeKite® at all.
